Uploading Images
Many template designs allow you to upload an image; this is great for sponsor logos, advertisers, or other pictures you want to include. If you choose not to upload an image, we will print the template background rather than leaving the image upload space blank.
To upload an image, click the Select Image button corresponding to the blue dot on the template. You may upload images saved on your computer or phone by clicking the Upload New Image button. If you have an account with Eventgroove, you may also choose images saved in your account My Files or upload and save new images in your account for future use by clicking the Choose from My Files button.
Resizing Images
The minimum image size will be displayed after you click the Select Image button. If you have a larger image, be sure that the image is proportionate to the minimum image size displayed. We recommend all images be at least 300 dpi to ensure print fidelity.
If a portion of your image extends beyond the target area displayed in the editor, we recommend you resize your image so it is proportionate to the suggested size and try uploading again. Only the portion of the image within the target area displayed will be printed.
If you have questions or would like help resizing your image, please contact our friendly customer support team prior to placing your order - we're happy to help!
Image Colors
Make sure your color mode is RGB before you upload your image. If the color mode is set to CMYK, it can change the colors on the printed product. We are digital printers so we cannot print some of the bright neon colors you may see on your monitor.
Please note, there can be a difference between different computer monitors and their settings so the colors displayed on your screen may not match exactly with the colors on the printed product.
Customizing Text
Our templates are preset to make it easy to create a professional looking design. We automatically adjust the font size to give you more flexibility when customizing. However, there is a limit to how much text can be added on a single line. If you have very long lines, please be sure to preview the ticket. If the text displayed in the proof image is red, please edit before proceeding to ensure no text is cut off.
Only the text in the input fields will appear on the item. Leave fields blank for those lines you don't need. The blue dot labels shown on the template will not appear on the final item.
Editing Fonts
Our graphic design team has created thousands of template designs for all types of events. Template designs make it easy to create a professional looking product without being a graphic designer. However, the designs are preset so font size and type cannot be changed. If you need more flexibility, you may be interested in our Design Your Own tool.
Numbering
Ticket numbers are sequentially numbered. By default, the starting number will be 001 but you may enter a different start number by editing the appropriate blue dot field.
Back Images
Most products are double sided and allow for customization on the back. If you are working on a double-sided product, you may choose one of three options:
-
Eventgroove Logo (default)
If you do not choose another option for back images, the Eventgroove logo will be printed on the back of all items. Click on "View Proof" to preview the front and back of your items.
-
No Image on the Back
You can choose to have no image on the body (non-stub) portion of the back of the item. This will remove the Eventgroove security image.
-
My Own Image or Sponsor Advertisement
You can upload your own image or sponsor advertisement to be printed on the back of the item (body section). The image should be designed at 300 dpi to ensure quality when printing. If you just want to add text, just save your text file (for example, MSFT Word) as an image and upload.
Barcodes
Each ticket has a unique barcode and number. The barcode is scannable (code 93). If you need more barcode options, just check out our Design Your Own or Custom Ticket services.
Perforations
Did you choose a ticket with a stub? Most of our online tickets are perforated, and yours will be too, as long as you choose a template with a stub. Is there a dotted line on your online proof? That's where you'll find the perforation on the tickets you order.
